Yanmar Engine

Customer Review

Port Engine Sail Drive and started looking for available boat yards to have our boat pulled and the seals changed ASAP (Bobby’s Mega Yard). My Brothers boat (Kya Anne) also was having some Yanmar engine problems as well and had started looking for available Yanmar mechanics which led to Simpson Bay Diesel, Greg Timot and Gordon (Gordy) Williams.

My Brother and I met and talked with Greg and Gordy early one morning and after realizing these guys really knew their stuff and were extremely pleasant; I decided to schedule Greg to install the seals (parts readily available) on the port engine. This led to pulling the boat and while it sat in the sling at Bobby’s Mega Yard, the work was completed.

Greg showed up 15 minutes early and as the boat was set in position he went to work on it right away. It was obvious from the start he knew what he was doing and what needed to be done; he had the old parts off and new parts back on surprisingly quick.

I was so impressed with the knowledge and expertise as I watched Greg work that I scheduled our valves to be adjusted at his convenience. Greg called after checking schedules with Gordy and scheduled a time to come to the boat. Greg arrived early again and went to work, finishing quickly. We had several valves out of adjustment; the engines have run great since and we have been able to increase the pitch on our folding props substantially.

Overall their work and customer service is extremely professional, quick and very reasonably priced. Both men were pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Their Customer Service lead to an unusually awesome experience.

Customer Service does exist at St. Maarten Marine engineering Consultants. Give them a try!!

PS: We also watched the work being done on my Brothers boat as well and again with equally great results another extremely happy Customer.
